Does a “transfer” mechanism exist in SS, and in my case a partial transfer?
I’m in an an employee share purchase scheme and as a result of “transferring out” vested components, have holdings in both the employee plan (bought + unvested) and personal (plan bought + plan vested).
I took a punt that a matched sale/buy between the account would do the trick. Which it does for dividend reconciliations, which was my original motivation while getting eofy tax stuff sorted. But a short while later I realised I’d then created a capital gains mess.
