Desktop format has changed-time periods missing

The format seems to have changed.
The date range 2 years and 5 years seems to have gone ?

Can we have them back please ?

Or let us customise the time period buttons available ?

Thanks

Agree, this is a step backwards Sharesight team. Also missing is “Yesterday since open” which is useful for seeing how the US market dated overnight

There’s other date ranges under the date picker box which is odd placement.

The chart losing the total values seems like a glaring omission as well.

Ahh. Yes, The missing time periods are now found by selecting the under the date eg 9/12/2024.

Something wrong with the growth column graph now.
If I select date range 12 months, it shows a column for each day for the last 7 days instead of a monthly or bimonthly column for the last 12 months.

It takes a long time to show the graph now.

On the plus side we can now select the columns that we want visible ie I don’t want to see unit price, I want to see return & value.

It would be good if we could have a column for percentage return and $ return at the same time. Thanks

Oh, you have to select “Apply changes’“ every time you change the Date Range.
I think previously it would apply the change as soon as you selected, say “12 months”.

Selecting 12 months date range divides the year into 3 periods. Previously it would divide into 6 (2 monthly) periods?
My preference is for 12 periods with 1 column for each month.

@WealthArch since yesterday (open) is under the dropdown when you click on the ‘Start date’

@bill.standen we didn’t remove any chart option. Are you referring to the ‘Value - Stacked’ graph where you can see the total value over a time period?

Yes, for the value stacked graph. On the tooltip when you mouse over a date on the chart, it used to give you a total for the date and the selected categories. Now it just gives you the value for each category.

You’re right. We are deploying a fix on that right now.

This is impossible to choose on mobile web, which I’m assuming most users are (the mobile app lacks many features)

Any chance you can attach a screenshot? It looks fine on iPhone.

You’ll have to try it with an actual phone to actually see the problem as its partly a UI issue and partly an interactivity issue (even the browser phone emulator doesn’t really reproduce it). What happens is that when you click the date picker, the mobile input keyboard opens and occludes the fast-select date ranges. When you scroll to have the fast select date ranges show, which you have to do very carefully and deliberately (because the phone will see the scroll as a click off the date picker and close it), the date ranges are difficult (but not impossible) to select because they’re small. This isn’t an issue with the non-beta date picker because it was a standard (full-size) drop down.

I’ve attached two screenshots from my Android phone; one with the keyboard open (which is what actually happens when the user clicks the date picker) and one without the keyboard (which only happens when you screenshot the screen).

There’s a few things wrong here:

  1. The keyboard shouldn’t open for the date picker, unless the user actually wants to manually enter dates (which isn’t possible with the datepicker UI anyway)

  2. The fast-select date ranges are too small to be useful on a mobile phone, even when you carefully scroll them into view.

The date picker functionality should really have a mobile-specific implementation, that balances the need to select pre-defined and custom date ranges.

Compare with the old date picker

Can I request that the 7 day growth stacked chart label shows today’s date as the last column? For example, the column on the right shows 14 December which is yesterday, but the column shows the change for today.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. We have made some changes to the mobile view. Can you let me know if you’re still seeing the same issue?

Any chance you can send us a screenshot? thanks.

The portfolio view of the chart shows yesterdays date 6 Jan (with todays data?), but the individual security shows todays date 7 Jan

This is on the desktop view.

Can you make the portfolio view show todays date please ?

Thanks
