• What feature do you want to see in Sharesight?
A Capital Gains Tax Report like the one availlable for Australian investors. After doing some reading on how taxes work in Australia, I can say that taxes are a lot simpler in Spain and a Spanish report would just be a simplified version of the Australian one. Another alternative could be a generic report which users can customize for the peculiarities of each country. In its simplest form, it could be something like this: Support different sale allocation methods in the "Sold Securities Report"
• Why do you want it?
For tax time. In fact, the only reason I signed up for a premium plan is that I misread https://www.sharesight.com/blog/capital-gains-tax-calculator-for-australian-investors/ and thought this wasn’t just available for Australia. I’m liking the product so far and I may end up staying a paying cutsomer, but until I have a report which helps me with taxes, I find the plan too expensive.
• How is this affecting you?
Lots of manual work to allocate buy prices and comissions in preparation for the tax season.
• Do you currently have a workaround solution? If yes, what is it?
Nope.
• Can we reach out in future to ask follow up questions about this idea?
Please do!
