If one of my stocks has been acquired by another company and I now have shares in that company instead, when do I use the merge feature vs. entering a manual transaction? Also does anyone have any tips to stay on top of corporate actions like mergers? I was totally taken off guard by this one.
As for a tool, one suggestion is https://atom.finance/. Brian Feroldi did a Tweetstorm on tracking and analysis tools a few months ago.
Hi @Stephanie you should use the merge feature if you have a holding that has been merged into another holding and 100% rollover relief applies. Check this help page on mergers for more details.
