Manual updates of trades

Hi, just in my trail period and I see that ii does not support trade emails so I have to manually download them and upload… this is a complete pain and worse than just manually inputting trades like I used to in Morningstar. Is there any other easy way of populating trade info? Also on HL I have to set my email to Sharesight not my own mail so I would lose all the other emails… this is a poor solution unless I am missing something? Without an answer to these issues there is no way I will move to a paying subscription in a few days time or recommend this platform to others.

@colintayler Can your broker send the contract note to you, and then you forward to Sharesight?

@colintayler there isn’t other way round for ii. Other ii customers have the same issue as well. I don’t get it why they don’t even build something as simple as sending a confirmation email.

For HL, another way is you can setup an email forwarding rule on your personal inbox.

Thanks for your reply, so for ii there is no way of adding these transactions other than a periodic CSV file export / import? And for HL I must set my email address as the Sharesight email address which means I do not see them in my own inbox and my email for all correspondence from HL is also set as Sharesight since there is no way that I can see to set the email as a different address if it is trade confirmation vs all other correspondence.
Grateful for your confirmation.

@colintayler for ii, yes either periodic csv file import or manual download trade confirmation and forward to your Sharesight portfolio.

For HL, what I mean is put your own personal email in HL, but you can possibly set an email forwarding rule in your personal inbox so when HL sends you the contract note, they will get forwarded to your Sharesight portfolio.

Sadly, HL does not include trade details in its trade confirmation emails - these must be viewed on the HL website, so it seems that for each I will have to manually update trades by periodically downloading summaries.
This is not as flexible as Morningstar where I could just tap in a trade to a simple form…
In principle your trade update automation is a great idea but it doesnt work for two of the largest brokers in the market which is a shame.
