@RickyYeo the use case is pretty clear. As you set up your portfolios circumstances change. I was managing my property asset with my share portfolio as that is how your videos suggested we manage property assets. But I was finding that it was skewing my reports. I want to create a separate portfolio to manage property but have to re-key all the data.
I understand it is not available at the moment. I am simply asking if you are going to commit to make it available in the future or if I should just go ahead and do it manually.
Another scenario, @RickyYeo , is that I want to re-organise how I manage my portfolios. I want to move my cash account to another portfolio. There is no way to run an all trades report on the cash account to export that data. And there is no way to import data for a cash account.
Another vote to transfer between portfolios and here is my use case that I know is not unique as there are lots of other online forums discussing similar actions.
Main reason is to consolidate brokers.
Over the last 10 years or so I have started and used different brokers as prices and fees have changed with new brokers entering the investing space with lower fees.
I’m now moving to Interactive Brokers (IBKR) and they have a daily direct intergration feed into Sharesight and in it’s own portfolio. All the other brokers are in a combined portfolio that I forward the contractor notes into via email. As I’m transferring stocks from the other brokers into IBKR I also need to update the Sharesight portfolios to match.
I’m giving you a use case of someone who had one portfolio and so had holdings mixed in them and was then upgrading to be able to separate them out. I’ve since deleted all my holdings and am in the process of reuploading them to address this issue. Thank you
