I am new to Sharesight and I am now on the free plan.
I am evaluating to upgrade to Starter so to leverage the Exposure report that looks so interesting to me.
However I have a question I can’t find answered in the docs.
Currently I have setup 1 portfolio where I have added my main current ETFs allocation.
That alone resolves in more than 800 single stocks.
If I upgrade I plan to import other 2 portfolios.
In the Exposure report (I can run it in the shared demo portfolio) I see I am forced to set a maximum limit of 500 stocks, while I’d like to see all of them, is it possible?
The second question is: in my portfolios I have actively managed ETFs whose composition changes over time. How often is that change reflected in Sharesight, so the Exposure report would change accordingly?
Hi @AE72 thank you for getting in touch, and apologies on the delay in getting back to you on this. Just to clarify, the Starter plan is limited to 1 portfolio with up to 30 holdings, and in the Exposure Report you will be able to see up to 50 underlying holdings at a time.
Regarding your first question, the Exposure Report also has a broader system limit of 500 underlying stocks, which applies across Standard and Premium plans. This cap is in place to ensure performance and usability of the report, especially for very large portfolios. At this stage it isn’t possible to increase that limit, but I’ve shared your feedback with our product team to consider for future improvements.
On your second question, for ETFs and managed funds, Sharesight reflects the underlying holdings based on the latest data we receive from our data providers. The frequency of these updates depends on the reporting schedule of each fund. For many ETFs this is quarterly, though some may update more or less frequently. Once the provider updates the data, this will automatically flow through to your Exposure Report in Sharesight.
