Hi All -
I had 77,000 CNW shares
On 11/12/2023 the following happened:
I received 0.0179 ATA shares for every CNW share I held.
I received 0.0473 cash for each CNW share I held.
So i received $3,642.10 cash and 1,378 ATA shares
How do i account for this in sharesight so that i get taxed correctly, and so the ongoing position is correct?
Cheers
Justin
Hi @JJB add a return of capital entry for CNW at $0.0473 for each CNW share held. Then use the merge feature to convert your CNW shares to ATA at the given ratio.
Let us know how you go.
The merge feature does not appear to be working,
When I add the “new Holding” (ASX: ATA), the cost base shows as $0 and cannot be edited.
Is this a system bug, or is there another way to complete this?
Cheers,
Justin
