As the Overview doesnt report many useful reporting periods (or custom periods) we need to use the Performance report.
However the Performance report doesnt support benchmarks
e.g.
There is no way to compare your portfolio for say last calendar year to a specific benchmark
I can see no way to view performance vs selected benchmark for last calendar year or other custom period in Sharesight.
This seems like a basic omission for a product with the main job to be done is to report performance!
If you added benchmarks to the Performance report we could achieve this - or custom periods to Overview.
Also it would be good to:
- be able to specify a seperate benchmark for each market (as well as overall) - so you can easily compare vs the market
- save your settings so you can rerun report without having to spend 10min fiddling around
- support multiple labelled settings so you can quickly toggle between periods
Or - you could just add additional preset periods + custom period to overview!
