CASH ACCOUNT ISSUES

• What feature do you want to see in Sharesight?

Without doubt Cash Account functionality is the weakest feature in Sharesight.

  • Improved multicurrency support

  • Select cash account by trade

  • Transfer between cash accounts (and portfolio’s)

  • More options for Type List

  • Bulk upload

  • Add cash accounts to custom groups

  • Cash account interest included in portfolio performance

• Why do you want it?
Reduce manual work arounds involved with using Sharesight.

• How is this affecting you?
Reduce manual work arounds involved with using Sharesight.
Cash account interest not included in portfolio performance.

• Do you currently have a workaround solution? If yes, what is it?
No
• Can we reach out in future to ask follow up questions about this idea?
Yes

Strongly agree. Heavy plus to all the features mentioned by TimE

The changes released in Mar 2025 (mentioned by Ricky here) were a step in the right direction, but a very small one. Even with my IBKR brokerage alone, I effectively have as many cash accounts as settlement currencies, and I hold cash in AUD, USD and EUR as a matter of course. There’s no way to represent this.

This is a glaring missing feature and evidently has been requested for a long time.
Although i like the product, i am not interested in connecting to a broker (and use several so could not even do IF i wanted).
I want to be able to "book"a transaction and be given the option of which cash account this is reflected in. same for dividends. It is VERY tedious adding these items on the holdings side and then manually entering the same data again on the cash side. (not to mention that this invites errors)

Could someone from the team honestly tell us whether this is on the horizon. I was using another provider who promised but this never materialised.
This software should make my life easier. Using IBKR reports and clunky stuff form others together with excel works but being able to do all this in ShareSight would be better.

One last point: I am testing using the starter tier but frankly the next tier is the one that provides functionality that people expect and can find elsewhere and this is FAR to expensive. (A portfolio tracker should not cost more than an annual subscription to a decent research site!)

I do hope for more functionality for those that do not which to link to brokers.

Given programming tools become easier by the minute so perhaps that should be considered.

I REALLY like the clean design and quick overview but there are very basic features lacking.
