Purchase Custom Investment

Hi Everyone - I’m not sure if this is another knock-on from the new holdings page changes, or just my own incompetence

I want to record a trade for a new custom investment. I can create the investment in the normal way, but now there seems to be no way to enter a manual trade. I cannot jump from the custom investment creation page to enter a trade and if I go in through the manual trade entry route it will not recognise the custom investment (even though it has been entered there is no holding to add to).

Can anyone point out what I’m doing wrong?

Once you have created a custom investment, please follow the steps below to add the trades for it:

  • from the overview page, click on “Add investment” button.
  • Select “Individually add trade” tile.
  • Search for the custom investment you have created.
  • Enter the trade details.

your suggestion does not work for the reasons outlined in my original post.

Please try the following:

  • create a brand new custom investment - not one that you have entered before
  • from the overview page, click on “Add investment” button
  • select “Individually add trade” tile
  • search for the custom investment you have created

you will come to a crashing halt at this stage
