# Spreadsheet import errors

I’ve tried to upload my trades via the spreadsheet/CSV import tool but I’m getting a lot of error messages and the trades haven’t gone through to my Sharesight portfolio. Why is this happening?

Hi @Stephanie 👋

With the CSV import, typically errors relate to either missing fields or an incorrect mapping to what is required for the import. Check out this [link](https://help.sharesight.com/au/import-from-csv-file/), it’ll give you an overview of what fields are required & the correct labelling of columns for the import.
