Returns report above a hurdle rate

Is it possible to create an “excess returns” report based on a static hurdle rate rather than an index? For example, at the end of the year, I would like to know what my portfolio has returned on an absolute basis above a 6.5% hurdle rate.

Hi @davidreid I will be reclassifying this under ‘Feature Ideas’ and share this with our product team.
It’ll be great if you can share your thoughts under below points with us:

  • Why do you want this report?
  • How is this affecting you?
  • Do you currently have a workaround solution? If yes, what is it?
  • Can we reach out in future to ask follow up questions about this idea?

The primary practical purpose of such a report is to quantify outperformance for the purpose of paying bonus at the end of the year.

The goal of my company’s portfolio is to generate excessive real returns over a long period of time, not necessarily to match or beat a specific index. I use 6.5% as a benchmark for theoretical equity premium.

Thanks for the additional details @davidreid.

We’d love to hear from anyone else that would find this feature useful. Please can you :orange_heart: this post if you would like us to consider adding this to our roadmap.
