# Labels are too limited and difficult to use

• What feature do you want to see in Sharesight?  
Labels are very useful, but their implementation is too simplistic and too difficult to use. For example:

1. I cannot select a specific colour for a label (colours are randomly assigned)
2. I cannot change the label name (I have to create a new label and assign it to all my stocks)
3. I cannot hide shares that I no longer own, so I get a long list that I have to scroll through
4. I have to go to a specific stock, then click on manage labels. It should be at the top menu similar to where Custom Groups sits

• Why do you want it?  
To make labels useful. At the moment they are very difficult to use, so have limited value.

• How is this affecting you?  
Annoying to use.

• Do you currently have a workaround solution? If yes, what is it?  
Not really. These are all UI suggestions.

• Can we reach out in future to ask follow up questions about this idea?
