# excess franking credits

Hello,
has anyone come across this issue.
I received a distribution amount from a Trust but then the Annual Tax Statement contains a much larger Franking Credit (Gross Up) amount 13C and larger again Franking Credit Amount 13Q. When I try to enter this into Sharesight via the Taxable Income Report → Enter Annual Tax Statement Components functionality,
I get an error as the Distribution is negative…Help please.

Hi @Piumi_Sharesight I sent an email to support on the 7/8 as suggested and have still not heard anything back?

Hi @cam unfortunately, it looks like we haven’t received your email to support.
However, this is a limitation in our tax statement components form which will be looked into by our product team. We have a validation which basically ensures the franked distributions of trusts 13C is equal to or more than the franking credits. The work around suggested is to $0 out the franking credit component in the form and report it manually. Our apologies for the inconvenience caused to you on this.
